Students, Young and Old, Support Goodwill

This May, students of all ages showed their support of Goodwill by giving nearly 70,000 pounds of donations!

Out of all Hamblen County elementary and middle school classrooms, Ms. Cameron's third grade class at Hillcrest Elementary brought the most donations during last week's Sack Pack donation drive and won an ice cream party!

Over 1,600 elementary and middle school students from Knox, Anderson and Hamblen County schools gave over 46,000 pounds of donations to Goodwill during the annual Sack Pack Donation Drive.

Maryville College students gave over 2,400 pounds of donations during the Maryville Moveout, and University of Tennessee students donated 21,000 pounds of gently used clothing and home goods to Goodwill during their UT Summer Sendoff.

These donations are sold in Goodwill Industries-Knoxville's 29 regional retail stores; revenue generated directly supports Goodwill's vocational training programs and employment services for individuals with barriers to employment.
