On April 26, the community came together to celebrate some of the most outstanding clients, staff members and partnering organizations of 2016. We produced and debuted awards videos to highlight the achievements and accomplishments of each of our award winners. Meet our winners in their videos below.
Skills Training Client of the Year - Chassi Mills
The Skills Training Client of the Year award is presented to one individual who showed outstanding dedication to their development in Goodwill's skills training programs, which may include computer training, the certified nurse assistant class, or customer service certification programs.
Work Adjustment Client of the Year - Gary Parton
The Work Adjustment Client of the Year award is presented to one individual who excelled in their training as they prepared to enter the workforce through real-work experiences.
Most Improved Client of the Year - Gunnar Williams
The Most Improved Client of the Year award is given to one individual each year whose development and transformation is truly outstanding.
Most Excited to Go to Work - Chris Olsen
The “Most Excited to Go to Work” Award is new for this year. It was created for one individual whose enthusiasm for work was above and beyond the norm, bringing joy and excitement to those around him.
Most Motivated Employee - Mitchelle Ochoa
The Most Motivated Employee of the Year award is presented to one Goodwill staff member who has shown great enthusiasm for their role at Goodwill and has exceeded expectations throughout the year.
Most Supportive Employer - Chick-fil-A
The Most Supportive Employer of the Year award is presented to one company in the community who employs our clients, going above and beyond to support their needs and ensure their successes.
Hiring Partner of the Year - McDonald's
The Hiring Partner of the Year award is given to one company in the community who works closely with Goodwill’s placement staff, making the interview and application process easy for our clients, as well as supporting them as employees.
Community Supporter of the Year - WVLT Local 8 News
The Community Supporter of the Year award is given to one organization who has been instrumental in spreading the word about Goodwill's programs, clients, stores and donation drives.
